Wordland Language Programs are scaled from 1 to 6. Their reference to functional levels , as well as their correspondence to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are explained under each program.

 

 

Hebrew Language Programs

Hebrew from Scratch
Simple Conversation - CEFRL A1

Written for European learners. Its main purpose is to help the student gain fast a beginner-to-intermediate knowledge of Hebrew. Participants will learn how to:

use and recognize the main functional aspects of Hebrew
Engage in oral and written communication using markers for expressing likes and dislikes, opinions, measurements, estimations and judgments, for making requests and for giving objective and subjective answers learn the basic thematic vocabularies of modern Hebrew
Understand and engage in communication on various topics of social and economic life (introducing oneself, requesting and answering, buying, selling, booking tickets, eating out, participating in cultural events, setting appointments, etc.) reflect acquired knowledge in personal touch colloquial or formal Hebrew
Organize the studied material in pragmatic and ready-for-use contexts going from informal to formal communications speak grammatically correct and logically ordered modern Hebrew
Pass through the basics of Hebrew grammar, and gain a flexible usage of all forms (of nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions)
Materials: Hebrew from Scratch studybook, a 1,500 line Beginner's Hebrew Lexicon, the Israeli Cultural Notes Booklet.


Hebrew for Professionals
Basic Efficiency - CEFRL A2-B1

This 36-hour module is a secondary course in modern Hebrew, especially aimed at professionals of various fields. Its main purpose is to help the student gain fast an intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Hebrew. Participants will learn how to:

further develop their expression in Hebrew
Make pertinent assessments, draw conclusions from sets of data, make a presentation, understand a speech, formulate a business proposal and negotiate terms and conditions learn the basic thematic vocabulary of the professional domain in modern and accurate Hebrew
Acquire special terminology in their field and employ it in all business-related situations, both in oral and written format, recognize the vocabulary of annex domains reflect acquired knowledge in personal touch colloquial or formal Hebrew
Organize the studied material in pragmatic and ready-for-use contexts going from informal to formal communications speak grammatically correct and logically ordered modern Hebrew
Acquire almost proficient flexibility in the use of grammatical words and be able to communicate fluently and confidently
Materials: Hebrew for Professionals study book, a 1,500 line Businessman's Hebrew Lexicon (with specialized fields), six monthly updates, to be delivered free of charge to all participants on graduation for further practice and maintenance of knowledge.


Itinerant Worker's Hebrew
Simple Conversation - CEFRL A1-B1

This 36-hour module is a basic course in Modern Hebrew, especially aimed at itinerant labor force professionals. Its main point is to help the learner gain fast a beginner-to-intermediate knowledge of Hebrew. Participants will learn how to:

Use and recognize the main functional aspects of Hebrew
Engage in oral and written communication using markers for expressing likes and dislikes, opinions, measurements, estimations and judgments, for making requests and for giving objective and subjective answers learn the basic thematic vocabularies of modern Hebrew
Understand and engage in communication on various topics of social and economic life (introducing oneself, requesting and answering, buying, selling, booking tickets, eating out, participating in cultural events, setting appointments, etc.) Confidently engage in social and business-related relations with the Israeli people
Gain access to Israeli etiquette and spoken standard of the language through real life situations reflect acquired knowledge in personal touch colloquial or formal Hebrew
Organize the studied material in pragmatic and ready-for-use contexts going from informal to formal communications speak grammatically correct and logically ordered modern Hebrew
